Easter and Lenten fundraising

Posted

Easter Triduum
Firstly I would like to thank on behalf of the Parish all those involved with the Liturgy over the Easter Triduum, the musicians, ably led by Emma Higham and Gavin Evenhuis, the altar servers led by Pat Keane. I thought all the liturgies were very prayerful and opened a way into the drama that the Church was celebrating. May I also thank those involved with the post Mass refreshments by Joe and Fran Early, and the bar by Adrian and Kathy McGuiness.

SRRC Sports Hall fundraiser

Posted

Over the spring Bank Holiday, 27 members of staff from St Richard Reynolds will be undertaking the Three Peaks Challenge, climbing Ben Nevis, Scarfell Pike and Snowden in 24 hours in order to raise money to complete the school Sports Hall. This has remained a shell but will soon be completed by the school with money loaned from the Diocese. If you would like to sponsor the staff and realise the vision of a Sports Hall for St Richard Reynolds please donate at https://mydonate.bt.com/fundraisers/srrccthreepeaks?page=1.

Christian Aid Week

Posted

This year Christian Aid week runs from 12th-18th May.

Over the years our faithful band of collectors has diminished and we desperately need more volunteers to deliver and collect Christian Aid envelopes for this invaluable work. If you can spare an hour or two to deliver and collect envelopes this year please put your name down at the back of the church after Mass.

Thank you
Peter Sweetman
