• Ooops! Inevitably, as soon as I posted that I clicked back to the home page and the 'PAGE' link was staring me in the face from the members menu. Nonetheless, I had read that menu five minutes earlier and not spotted the page on the bottom, so perhaps that's a good example of content that would benefit from a 'shout-out strap' elsewhere on the homepage, to help slightly slow people like myself.

  Just wandering around the site tonight and a couple of thoughts occurred to me. First, that it would be handy to have a copy of the week's Page downloadable from within the site. There may be reasons why that's not a good idea, but if not ...
  Secondly, I came across the Lenten Project tab in the J&P menu and thought that maybe some parishioners or casual visitors might not search that far so would it be possible to have banners or a 'breaking news'-style headline where things that are currently popular/important/top of the agenda get featured on the home page - and perhaps other pages too - outside of their formal menu listing, then people could click through to them.

• I try to put new stuff on the front page. At the moment its a bit full up with Christmas stuff but that will disappear shortly. The Lenten project will appear on the front page as soon as I have put together the pages for it. Currently its only up to help me develop it.
  I am trying to think up better ways of displaying important and relevant information but I don't want to fill pages up too much with sideboxes etc. If you have any thoughts on how useful the current sideboxes etc are or any different ways to display information please let me know. I wonder if creating a questionnaire to find out how relevant people find the sideboxes might be worth while.
