On the sub-menu in the events section, click on the link at the bottom labeled "Create Event" (if you don't see this link, then you probably still need to login).

You will now see a form which you can fill in to create an event. Start by entering the name of the event in the box labelled "Title".

The enter when the even takes place. If you don't want to enter an end date, then simply untick the box.

Clicking in the date box will open a calendar where you can select the date for the event.

Clicking in the time box will highlight a segment of the time. Use the up/down arrow buttons on your keyboard to change the time, and the left/right arrow buttons to toggle between hours, minutes and am/pm.

[Optional] If the event repeats, you can tick the "repeat" box and you will be provided with a variety of options to set when and how often an event repeats.

Then add a location, this can be a full address, or could just be "St Margaret's Church" or "St Margaret's Church Hall".

In the Body section, write about what the event is. You can give as much detail as you like.

[Optional] You can also add an image for your event (e.g. maybe a photo from when the event took place previously), just make sure you have the correct permissions to use it.
In the section labelled "Event Image", Click the "Browse" button to bring up the file explorer. Select your image in the dialog box (by double clicking, or clicking once and then clicking on "open") and then click the "Upload" button. Give it a moment and you will see a thumbnail of the image you have uploaded.

Then add an some "Alternate text" to describe the image.

[Optional] Before your event is published, it will need to be approved. If there's any message you want to put with your event submission, add it in the "Workflow comment" section. This will only be seen by the administrator.

Finally, click the "Save" button at the bottom to submit your event. It will be published shortly.
