Glass Door Project

The Glass Door Project in the west area provides shelters in church halls seven nights a week for homeless men and women, from November until April. St Matthias church on Richmond Hill is part of the seven church circuit and is in need of volunteers for Saturday nights.

If you are able to help once or twice between November and the end of January it would make a big difference. Volunteers help for an hour or two or a whole evening depending on their availability/preference. We meet at 6.00pm, prepare a hot meal, set up the space for our 30 guests who arrive around 7.30 pm. We offer fellowship, food and kindness without judgment, to all who come.

If you are interested in knowing more, please contact Pat Johnston on 07717 222678 or by email at pjjersey49@hotmail.com

Should you be unable to volunteer but would like to be involved, we are always happy to receive a donation, food vouchers or equipment because our entire budget is £38 a night for all our guests!

Many thanks,
Pat Johnston. Coordinator for Glass Door at St Matthias
