Congratulations and thank you to all those who contributed in any way to the success for our 2018 Lenten Project. We appreciate all the hard work put into each of these events and how enjoyable they were for the Parish. The two charities who will benefit from this Project are Together as One (Local) and Mary’s Meals (International)

Sunday lunch for the homeless

The Parish has now joined a group of churches that provide Sunday lunch for the homeless catering for 30-40 guest each Sunday.

As we were the last to join the only date in 2018 is Sunday 30th December.

I have accepted this date on behalf of the Parish hoping there will be approximately 15 volunteers to help set up tables, serve meals, wash up and talk to guests.

For 2019 we will expect to host lunch two or three times a year.

Birthday thank yous

May I thank everybody for their generosity on the occasion of my 60th birthday. I was very touched by all the cards, pictures and presents that were given to me last Sunday. Last week I looked over the Proms programme and have chosen a few to attend; Debussy, Berlioz and Verdi and will now wait until ticket sales begin on Saturday 12th May. Your present will make for some enjoyable summer evenings.
