Holy Week and Easter Services

May I thank on behalf of the Parish all those Parishioners who made the celebration of Holy Week and Easter such a spiritual and moving time.

Many people were involved over the week, Siobhan, Grainne, Liz, Alban and Natasha for directing, playing music, building and painting the sets for the Passion Play; for the music during Holy Week, Joseph, Emma and the choir; for the music on Easter Sunday, Gavin and the choir; for those who prepared the altar of repose, the flowers, acted as MC, Jimmy, Allison and Pat; for those who opened the bar after the Vigil and provided coffee after Easter Sunday Mass, Adrian, Kathy and Mary.

St Margaret's Pastoral Council

At the last meeting earlier this year the Pastoral Council has been looking at the five aspects of Parish life and the following initiatives have been suggested.

The team will be hosting five sessions by Catholic Voices on 'How to defend the Catholic faith without raising your voice'. Each session will cover a different topic and will be held on Friday evenings from 7.30-9.00pm during May and June. The team will undertake an Alpha course during 2018/19.

Lenten Project 2018 update

Thank you to everyone who has already contributed to our Lenten fundraising. We have managed to raise £2,523 so far for our two charities - Together as One and Mary's Meals.

The three Lenten markets raised £100 and the Irish coffees £120. Thank you to everyone who supported these events and a special thank you to Rachel McKendry and Torsten Strunz for making the Irish coffees.

Please remember our fundraising will continue after Easter with the Parish Poetry evening with Cheese and Wine on Saturday 14th April and the Children's Film Night on Saturday 21st April.
